I’ve heard it told
That you talk to God
Does He speak to you
Does this happen a lot
   If you meet with God today
   And he seems in a mighty good mood
   Would you ask him something for me
   I’m sure it’s nothing new but,
     *  I’m not sure how to communicate
        With someone that knows me even better than myself
        Seems it’d be old news to him
        It just be me repeating – everything again and again
Do you hear voices
Out loud? Or in your head
Or is it just a feeling you get
When there’s something being said
   Does he read your thoughts
   Or do you speak out loud
   When do the changes come
   What happens when you doubt  *
 
When you pray to God
Does he poke his finger into history
Do you or circumstances change
It’s always been a mystery    * *
