When I first  asked that girl to be my bride 
I saw us growing old together standing side by side
But ever since that dreaded wedding night 
All I ever seam to do is hang my head and cry

 When I first said I do. I thought I did
That was back when we were newly wed
If I could turn back time, I’d go back to that day
I’d look up to that Preacher and this is what I’d say

 DO YOU?       No I don’t
WILL YOU?   No she won’t
AND FORSAKE EACB OTHER, TILL YOUR DYING DAY
Say what?
TO HAVE AND TO…...Hold on Mister let’s get something straight
Till death do we part is just too far away

 When he asked for objections, had I known your un-intentions
I should have run away, not stood there like a marter
We could have taken the walk of shame
saved ourselves a lot of pane
Instead of Newly weds We would have been
the dearly departed
